Special Offer ~ Seniors Pay Half-Price Admission Throughout September

Upper Canada Village is pleased to announce a Special Seniors promotion for the month of September. Seniors visiting this award-winning outdoor living history museum on any day of the month will pay only half the price of the regular senior’s admission rate. It’s a chance to experience the daily activities of the 19th century amidst an ever-changing fall backdrop, with a number of special days full of added entertainment not to be missed ...

The month will kick off with a FAMILY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL, which will be running Labour Day Weekend, rain or shine, in the Family Activity Centre located inside the Village. Each afternoon on September 1, 2 and 3, the Centre will come alive with special guest musicians, storytellers and puppets that all ages will enjoy … a great time to create some happy memories with grandchildren or other family members. The performances are included in the admission price to visit the Village, so visitors can make a day of it by spending the morning exploring the Village on foot, by horse-drawn wagon or boat.

Seniors with a love of gardening may choose to take advantage of the special September promotion on Saturday, September 8, when the site hosts its FALL GARDENS event. Visitors on this day can join a guided tour of the gardens, or participate in a fall workshop; again, for seniors it’s all included in their half-price admission rate!

What would the month of September be without a good old-fashioned FALL FAIR? Upper Canada Village will be hosting its annual rural exhibition, 1860s-style, on Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16. This authentic celebration offers all kinds of fun and entertainment, such as heritage horse and cattle shows, colourful exhibits, traditional children’s games, magic shows, music and more … including snacks of Village Cheese, Village Bread, apples and refreshments, for 25 cents each. The Fall Fair promises lots of entertainment value, at only half the admission price for seniors!

With September also comes the cooler weather, when thoughts may turn to snuggling up in a favourite, cozy quilt. On September 22 & 23, Upper Canada Village will play host to numerous quilt guilds who will be displaying their cherished creations as part of the Village’s annual QUILT SHOW. This colourful exhibit will be complemented with quilting bees, quilt talks and quilt appraisals throughout the weekend.

The September Seniors Promotion is for people who are 65 years and older. Senior’s admission price for the month is only $7.98 (plus gst), half the price of the regular senior admission of $15.95 (plus gst). Age I.D. required.
