Designed to support the Ontario Curriculum for Grade 4 Social Studies. Broaden your students’ awareness of the history and culture of early societies through a full day of discovery and action-packed fun at the Medieval encampment on the grounds adjacent to Upper Canada Village. Students will learn about medieval life across the globe through the eyes of its warriors, royalty, medieval families, artisans, merchants and buskers; they can cheer for their favourite competitor’s homeland at the action-packed jousting Knights on horseback show! Hands-on games and activities, theatrical performances, comedy acts, music, dance and magic add to the festive atmosphere. Homeschoolers welcome!

Upper Canada Village can provide ASL interpretation during designated events on Medieval Monday to facilitate the experience of students with hearing loss. For more details please contact Sarah Edwards at 613-543-3704 ext. 2234 or before Monday May 13 2019.

Duration: Up to a full day (Medieval Hours 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m., Village is open until 5:00 p.m.) 3 hours recommended
