Young Interpreters Program

Young Interpreters are children between the ages of 10 and 15 who come to Upper Canada Village on two succeeding weekends during the summer months of three weekends in the fall, to help portray life in the 1860s.

The Senior YI (Youth Interpreter) Program is geared to former Time Travellers and Young Interpreters, now 15, 16 or 17 years of age, who are interested in further developing their hands-on historical skills, knowledge and experience of historical interpretation, research skills, and leadership skills. Take the Senior YI Challenge!

Time Travellers Try-a-Camp
Time Travellers Try-a-Camp

This 3-day version of the Time Travellers Camp is geared to children whose families are looking for a shorter camp experience. Each session begins Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. and ends Sunday at 2 p.m.

Time Travellers

Time Travellers are children between the ages of 9 and 14 who spend five nights and six days during the summer months at Upper Canada Village. While at the Village, Time Travellers eat and sleep in one of three 19th century residences.
