19th Century Funeral

In the 19th century, most people believed there was life after death, and that loved ones passed to an afterlife after their time on earth. Join us in observing the rites of death as they were practiced in the 1860s, including public death notices, visitation with the bereaved family, and a procession from the family’s home to the service.
