Shows & Demonstrations

NOTICE: Our priority is to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our visitors, vendors, entertainers and staff in these challenging times. Under the guidance and advice of Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health, it is with great sadness that we cancel Medieval Festival from June 13-15th for the 2020 season.

The feature attraction of the Medieval Festival each year is the exciting, action-packed entertainment put on by a colourful troupe of Jousting Knights on horseback who perform twice daily. Numerous other eclectic medieval performers will also present a variety of interactive shows each day. Comedians, dancers, talented buskers, a wizard and wandering minstrels will create music and laughter throughout the event, adding to the faire atmosphere. Warrior and domestic encampments, archery demonstrations and armoured and unarmoured combat performances are sure to keep the excitement level high. And last but not least, the Royal Court, including the King and Queen and their entourage, will be in attendance at a number of events throughout the festival.

Falconry shows will also be offered, with the birds on display between shows. There will be plenty of opportunities to witness the fine craftsmanship of Medieval artisans during the festival. Demonstrations such as blacksmithing, armour manufacturing, leatherworking, chainmaille making, period fashions & jewelry making will all be part of the festival’s activities.
