Off-Season Tours

As the daily hustle and bustle of the summer season fades, until "life" resumes in the spring, Upper Canada Village's more than 40 heritage buildings and winding roads through a pastoral landscape provide a perfect setting for a visual tour through time. Your group can enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Village during the off-season, as a Village guide leads an informative and scenic walking tour along the Village streets.

Walking tours are available:

  • October 7 to October 25, 2013 (including Discovery Centre)

Pumpkinferno

October 4 - 31, 2013 (select nights)

Pumpkinferno is Ontario's largest new fall event featuring a unique blend of art and entertainment using over 5,000 hand carved pumpkins displayed in over 30 themed exhibits covering approximately 10 acres inside the gates of Upper Canada Village.  It is a stunning outdoor experience - a walking tour - through artistic and sometimes amusing exhibits of eclectic scenes from exotic places and historic ages.  From forest animals to sea-born creatures, mythical characters and storybook heroes - all artistically carved from artifical pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.

Almost a million lights adorn the buildings, trees and fences throughout Upper Canada Village creating a spectacular winter wonderland. Night-time horse-drawn wagon rides are available for old-fashioned tours around the site. Fresh bread made nightly at the Village Bakery will be for sale at the Village Store, along with holiday gifts. Also try a ride on the Toy Train to add to the merriment. Holiday dining is available at the Harvest Barn and Willard's Hotel.  To reserve food services call B & A Foods at 613.543.0660.

Reserve a horse-drawn wagon for your group $252.38.  Maximum of 15 people per wagon.  Includes admission, wagon ride and Toy Train.  Taxes included.
