Grade 3 Special Activity Days
Wednesday to Friday, May 26, 27 & 28, 2010
$7.50 per student (includes Tax)
Upper Canada Village will once again be offering a series of special
activity centres for your Grade 3 students.
These activities have been designed to address both overall and specific
curriculum expectations in the SOCIAL STUDIES, ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS, and
SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY strands of the Grade 3 Ontario Curriculum, and
offer unique hands-on ways to address these expectations.
For example, at Loucks Farmhouse, students will learn about the diet of
early settlers and compare it with today. They will have the chance to
see and compare tools at our Cabinetmaker's Shop. Students will be able
to learn about structures by examining a timber-framed barn, and they
can practice counting, measuring and estimating in our Sawmill yard.
