Learn about Battle of Crysler's Farm
One of the area’s most important monuments rises over the Battle of Crysler's Farm Visitor Centre, just west of Upper Canada Village. Here visitors can learn about the Battle of Crysler's Farm, a nationally significant battle in the War of 1812 that halted the November 1813 invasion of Canada. Admission is free and visitors are invited to explore the interactive battlefield model and theatre of war map, see the new soldier dioramas and watch an audio-visual presentation about the strategies and struggles during the bloody confrontation on the banks of the St. Lawrence on November 11, 1813. The building also houses a magnificent panoramic mural highlighting the climax of the action at Crysler’s Farm.
