1860s Fall Fair Weekend & Quilt Show Returns to Upper Canada Village September 17-18, 2022

Farmers, Crafters and Artists Bring Their Wares to the Fair to Be Judged While Everyone Wins with Old-Fashioned Fun!

Morrisburg, ON — On Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18, 2022, Upper Canada Village presents its 1860s Fall Fair & Quilt Show. A wonderfully re-created 1860s Fall Fair with exhibits, livestock, live entertainment and fun for the whole family, the Fall Fair is another annual favourite making its return this season.

Agricultural and dairy products, heirloom vegetables, flowers, quilts and fine arts will be on display all weekend long. Livestock breeds found in Eastern Ontario in the 1860s will be featured, and at 2 p.m. each day there will be a horse and cattle show. Guests can participate in old-fashioned fun and games and enjoy musical and magic shows throughout the day.

The Fair will feature public entries of fine art, preserves, handiwork, vegetables and other items. Exhibition categories and classes match those of 1860s fairs and submission guidelines are in ensure entries are as close as possible to the 1860s descriptions. Three area quilting guilds will participate in the Guild Quilt Show and Quilting Bee. Guests can watch passionate quilters in action!

Upper Canada Village’s Fall Fair and Quilt Show runs all day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. See the schedule of events and purchase tickets at https://www.uppercanadavillage.com. The weekend’s events are included in regular admission prices. Purchasing tickets prior to arrival is highly recommended.
