Stay tuned for 2022 dates.
Come and walk in the shoes of the past! The Live-In adventure is a unique opportunity to immerse students in the everyday life of a 19th-century child. Under the guidance of costumed Village staff, students are provided with reproduction period clothes and then introduced to hands-on activities such as baking over an open hearth, tinsmithing, sewing, and blacksmithing. Students get to help with chores such as milking cows and feeding the farm animals and attend a lesson in a one-room schoolhouse. This program is available in two formats.
The overnight program begins at 1 p.m. and finishes at 11 a.m. the next day. For schools or groups who are unable to spend the night, Upper Canada Village also offers a day version of the Live-In. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Book soon as sessions fill quickly.
