Since 1961, Upper Canada Village has offered more than just a museum experience - it’s a journey back to rural English Canada in 1866. With over forty historic buildings, including homes, working mills, and artisan workshops, every corner of the village brings the past to life. Our skilled interpreters and welcoming staff make history come alive, showing visitors the daily life, trades, and traditions of a 19th-century Ontario community.
Explore homes, mills, farms, and workshops that recreate everyday life in 1866.
Watch flour being ground, wool spun, and blacksmiths at work - just as it was over 150 years ago.
Opened in 1961, Upper Canada Village was built from buildings relocated during the St. Lawrence Seaway project.
